EXPLORERs

Fire Explorer programs are intended to provide the youth with experiences that connect the real world with their academic environment. Young men and women participate in activities related to the fire service. The lessons and activities embody tools that equip the youth in their development of character—enhancing both their leadership and their life skills. While the implementation of the program is predominantly fire service related, generalization of skills learned is applicable to the future of the explorers. The participant can use their experience to further advance their goals towards the fire service or utilize the tools they’ve learned to better themselves while pursuing a greater role in the community.
